Warlords of Crymore - 20/11/2014
My workers are protesting.
Aside from a midweek glitch, this week has been great for WoW. It has leapt up by 10 million subs which is a tremendous leap and everything is working smoothly! Things aren't so great for it's reviews though - at least not the public reviews. This is leaving a particularly bad impression on Metacritic. If you've got the time and the appreciation, go and spread some love. If you're one of the under-aged whiners, go suck a tailpipe.
I've had an excellent week. I'm not 100 yet but I give no shits, I'm too busy enjoying Spires of Arak. The Arakkoan land is visually stunning and the quests are interesting, varied and fun. Horay! Whilst questing in the Spires, I came upon a ghostly tavern. The barman only sold spirits. HURHUR!
Whilst inside, I discovered a neat little activity. There is a dog by the bar aptly named 'Rooby Roo' and if you feed him some 'Rooby Reats' which you can buy from the chef downstairs, he will lead you outside and give you a surprise. Check it out!
My other adventures have included paying a visit to Skyreach and Auchindoun, witnessing the final quests of the Spires, upgrading my garrison and starting the legendary quest. It's great!
Later turkeys!
Talador and more!
Things have been working pretty smoothly since Saturday morning and I've finally managed to get my teeth into the content this expansion has to offer.
I've only just hit 95 and already it feels better than any other of the expansions before. It's not just the new content, it's the way it's been presented. I don't feel like I'm questing for the sake of questing. In previous expansions I've wanted to blast through quests purely to level my character, but in this case I feel a tad sad that I am already level 95. I have to keep reminding myself that I can continue to quest past the level cap - and I will. I'm not questing for experience anymore, I'm peeling back another layer of the already compelling story. It's sad as shit too. Some pretty key figures have already departed and we're only days into it all.
It all feels so much more dynamic now. I have been through three lengthy quest lines which each in term awarded me Draenor Mining, Draenor Fishing and Draenor Jewelcrafting. The Jewelcrafting quest interested me the most as it had a permanent effect on the zone I was questing in. I didn't even realize it was related to the profession until the end (It was a pretty long story). The main quest chains in each zone lead up to fantastic conclusions which result in some pretty dramatic cinematics (Some are kind of cheesy but I don't care. Yrel is hot.).

Around half way through 94 I got burnt out from questing hard and had to come to terms with a pretty significant character death. I decided to go treasure and rare hunting (Which was easy thanks to the Handynotes addon). As an enh. Shaman I've found it pretty easy to solo rares by popping all CD's. The venture was very fruitful and I now have a range of fun toys, blues, a ton of ore and garrison resources and THIS:
What a badass mount. It took me and four other randoms to kill the damn thing as it has some seriously beastly heath. This has been a highlight of my experience so far along with the moment I stumbled into a cave full of carnivorous squirrels.
More to come!
Garrisons n' shit
Hey check out my garrison.
Got some friends over. We party.
So, garrisons are broken. Kind of. If you want to access your garrison, park yourself in the crowd and be patient - eventually everyone will phase out and your npc's and buildings will phase in. I've been trying to be productive by exploring, doing random quests and gathering. You're not limited to your garrison, so get exploring!
Check THIS shit out.
